WikiLeaks releases Global Intelligence Files

Posted on February 26, 2012

2012 is indeed, in its own way, shaping up to be an apocalyptic year; and WikiLeaks, a.k.a. “one of the Four Horsemen,” appears to be hastening things along.

Several minutes ago, the site revealed “The Global Intelligence Files,” consisting of more than 5 million emails from “global intelligence” company Stratfor. Out of those 5 million messages, more than 4,000 purportedly mention Julian Assange and discuss “the US government’s attacks against Julian Assange and WikiLeaks and Stratfor’s own attempts to subvert WikiLeaks.”

As stated by WikiLeaks:

“On Monday February 27th, 2012, WikiLeaks began publishing The Global Intelligence Files, over five million e-mails from the Texas headquartered “global intelligence” company Stratfor. The e-mails date between July 2004 and late December 2011. They reveal the inner workings of a company that fronts as an intelligence publisher, but provides confidential intelligence services to large corporations, such as Bhopal’s Dow Chemical Co., Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon and government agencies, including the US Department of Homeland Security, the US Marines and the US Defence Intelligence Agency. The emails show Stratfor’s web of informers, pay-off structure, payment laundering techniques and psychological methods.”

And, oh, there’s so much more.
