Global candlelight vigil for Julian, Feb. 1-2

Posted on January 23, 2012

For weeks, supporters have been planning demonstrations at the UK Supreme Court, to be held during Assange’s extradition appeal hearings. But if you can’t attend the Feb. 1-2 rallies in London, you can participate at home in a worldwide candlelight vigil for Julian:

“February 1, 2012, 12:00AM – February 2, 2012, 11:30PM
In the privacy of your own home

“Julian Assange goes before 7 Supreme Court Justices to appeal his extradition to Sweden on false charges that had, in effect, already been dismissed. If extradited, he will no doubt face extradition to the US, where the majority of the government is seeking prosecution for espionage because he published documents that the US was trying to keep secret from citizens, like us, to know the truth about what was really going on. He faces possible life in prison or even death. This is injustice in its most evil form.”
